A custom procedure pack contains all the individual consumables that are used during a procedure, wrapped in a ‘field’ and sterilised.

The individual consumables can range from patient drapes and surgeon gowns, to diathermy, suction tubing, abdominal packs and gauze. These are specifically chosen by the surgeon and scrub nurses, and Defries assembles these customised packs in cleanrooms according to hospitals’ specifications.

Using a custom procedure pack saves on setup time for procedures, and ensures that all components are available for every case. Ordering and inventory control is made easier and emergency cases can be attended to more quickly.
